Full exterior scan of new catamaran with mesh surfaces generated for five axis CNC milling and model making.
design by Andrew McDonald-Smith

Geometry check
Scan and model of power catamaran hull to check symmetry of hulls for sea keeping
Sea Transport

Seadek installation
The sole of a tender was scanned with the proposed shapes defined by (green) masking tape. These areas were then transferred to a CAD program and non-skid Seadek foam was CNC cut and applied by O'Neill Shipwrights

Interior refit
The exterior, maindeck and saloon of superyacht Dynasty was scanned and a mesh model was created in order to design a new interior arrangement. 2D drawings created from  projected lines
Ocean Degree

Nozzle redesign for fishing boat
The existing nozzle was scanned with the Leica RTC360 and the shaft position recorded with the Leica TCR703. This information was used to create a precise CAD surface model.
Aurora Marine Design
15m sailboat stability
Scan of sailboat for stability assessment.
(Green spheres represent scan positions)

Brisbane city cross river ferry
This hull was modelled using data from the RTC360 and the TCR703 for a comparative study. (Dots are from TCR703, point cloud is from RTC360)

100 ft  Horizon "Elysium" Fully scanned for new targa design. Visual representation enabled  owner's feedback during design phase. Construction by Signature Yacht Services

Inboard engine conversion Hull and deck moulds were scanned and new structure was formed using 3D CAD.
A "plug" of the new part was then CNC routed, followed by the production of a new mould.

Party Boat
This vessel was built on the hulls of an unfinished sailing trimaran.
After arriving from Hawaii, the hull geometry was scanned (using the TCR703 scanner). Aurora Marine Design then miraculously transformed this orphaned bare boat into the elegant and iconic YOTCLUB
Aluminium workboat
This vessel was scanned to produce a stability model to ensure compliance with AMSA regulations after a change of ownership. Scan was conducted while the vessel was blocked up on a barge in the Brisbane River.
